Q1. Tell us about Justdoc.
JustDoc, enables patients to do video consultations with highly qualified and experienced doctors via its website, from the comfort of their homes, offices or anywhere. Earlier this month, JustDoc also launched its mobile app, thereby giving patients additional convenience. Through the use of technology, the startup aims to provide patients with consultation experiences, similar to in-person visits, through video. Besides providing customers with easy consultation options, through JustDoc, patients can have 24/7 access to over a 100 quality doctors from top hospitals such as like Apollo, Fortis, Manipal, and AIIMS.
Q2. How you got such an Idea?
After being being misdiagnosed several times, I wasted my time roaming from clinic to clinic. This made me realize that we need a solution that can connect you with a good doctor instantly from home.
Q3. How it all started ? Who all helped you out ? What is the story from ground level ?
We met over 150 doctors in 1 month to understand how telemedicine can be implemented in different specialization. Lots of doctors esp. Dr. Anurag Mishra, from Doctors For You helped us out in arranging these meetings. We simultaneously researched about similar successful models in other countries.
Q4. In what scenarios JustDoc is most effective ? Tell us a use-case.
JustDoc is very effective in Tier-2 cities where it is very hard to find good doctors nearby. It has a very strong proposition to places like these. Around 40% of our patients are already coming from these places
Q5. How you earn from it ? How much and How you charge a user ?
We charge a nominal fee of Rs. 250 for every consultations. This includes a complimentary follow-up with the doctor as well
Q6. How you gonna expand ?
We look forward to adding more top doctors from hospitals like Apollo, Fortis, AIIMS, NIMHANS, Medanta and more. At the same time we will try to reach out to mass market across the country.
Q7. How much you've raised and What are your plans after getting so much funding ?
We have raised an undisclosed amount of funding from several investors. We plan to use the money to develop a product (that our patients will love) and to build a good team. We will also invest in customer experience.
Q8. People have their family doctors for consultation purpose , why someone use your service ?
Not a lot of people have family doctors in every specialization. And at the same time you still have to travel to that doctor and wait in queue to get consultation. A platform where you can skip all that and find any doctor of your choice, can come very handy.
Q9. You're IITan , Does this stamp helps you get funding easily ? or you also need to struggle like others ?
No, absolutely not. A degree doesn't define who you are a person. A lot of non-IITians have also built great companies & raised several investment rounds. Investors always look for right attitude rather than your academic background.
Q10. What is the best way to get some good funding if you're a Non-IITan ? How to go about it ?
As I said in my previous answer, have the right attitude. If you are solving a genuine problem & building something that will put smiles on the faces of your customers, nothing can stop you! :)
